Yusuf - Roadsinger (Cat Stevens)

Yusuf’s Roadsinger from 2009 is a quiet, reflective album built around acoustic guitars, warm arrangements and the gentle storytelling that has always been central to his music. “Thinking ’Bout You”, “Roadsinger” and “World O’Darkness” are among the highlights, with the whole album carrying an easy, unhurried feel. It is not trying to recreate the past, but there is enough of the old Cat Stevens warmth here to feel familiar. A thoughtful, understated record that suits a slow listen.
