Tom Waits - On The Line In '89 Volume One (2LP)

Despite the rather misleading title, On the Line in ’89, Volume One actually captures Tom Waits live at the Teatro Comunale in Florence in July 1999, around the time of Mule Variations. It’s a terrific set, with Waits in wonderfully rough, theatrical form on “Jockey Full of Bourbon”, “Chocolate Jesus”, “Get Behind the Mule”, “Hold On” and “Innocent When You Dream”. Issued as a double LP by Vinyl Slab, it’s an excellent snapshot of late-’90s Waits on stage.
