The Beatles - Abbey Road (SA)

The Beatles’ Abbey Road from 1969 is one of the most polished and enduring albums in popular music. “Come Together”, “Something” and “Here Comes the Sun” are obvious highlights, while the famous second-side medley shows the band still capable of extraordinary invention near the end of their career. George Martin’s production is rich and detailed, with superb harmonies and some of the Beatles’ finest playing. Elegant, melodic and endlessly replayable, Abbey Road remains a cornerstone of any serious record collection.
