Tangerine Dream - Rubycon

Tangerine Dream’s Rubycon from 1975 is a classic of the Berlin School sound, built from long, slowly evolving electronic pieces rather than conventional songs. Sequencers, Mellotron and layers of synthesiser create a dark, spacious atmosphere that feels both hypnotic and cinematic. Split across two extended parts, the album takes its time, gradually building tension and texture. It is less immediate than Phaedra, but every bit as rewarding. A deep, immersive listen and a key record in 1970s electronic music.
