Nirvana - In Utero (Sealed)

Nirvana’s In Utero from 1993 is rawer, harsher and more confrontational than Nevermind, but just as powerful. Produced by Steve Albini, the album strips away much of the previous record’s polish, giving songs like “Heart-Shaped Box”, “Rape Me” and “All Apologies” a tense, abrasive edge. Kurt Cobain sounds wounded, sarcastic and completely exposed throughout. Difficult in places but never dull, In Utero is a fierce final studio album and one of the defining alternative rock records of the 1990s.
