Julian Gomes - Late Dreamer (10th Anniversary, 2LP)

Julian Gomes’ Late Dreamer gets a welcome 10th Anniversary return, revisiting one of the key albums in South African deep house. Gomes keeps things smooth and understated, blending soulful vocals, warm basslines and late-night grooves without ever forcing the mood. The album works best as a full listen, moving between dancefloor tracks and more reflective moments with an easy flow. A strong reminder of why Gomes remains such an important name in local electronic music, and a lovely release to own on vinyl.
