Jewel - 0304

Jewel’s 0304 from 2003 was a real change of direction, moving away from the folk-pop sound of her earlier albums into something much more polished and dance-pop driven. “Intuition” is the obvious standout, but tracks like “Stand” and “2 Become 1” show how comfortably she moved into brighter, more electronic production. It divided some fans at the time, but that is part of what makes it interesting. A very early-2000s album, and a fun left turn in Jewel’s catalogue.
