Florence & The Machine - Ceremonials (2LP)

Florence + the Machine’s Ceremonials from 2011 is big, dramatic and built for maximum atmosphere. Florence Welch’s voice sits at the centre, surrounded by pounding drums, sweeping strings and dense layers of production on tracks like “Shake It Out”, “No Light, No Light” and “Never Let Me Go”. The album leans fully into its sense of grandeur, but there is real emotional weight underneath it. Rich, theatrical and beautifully arranged, Ceremonials is a strong follow-up to Lungs.
