Danny Street, Mike Redway - Jesus Christ Superstar

Danny Street and Mike Redway’s Jesus Christ Superstar is a 1972 studio-cast version of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice rock opera, released on Music for Pleasure. It features highlights such as “Heaven on Their Minds”, “Everything’s Alright”, “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” and “Superstar”, all delivered in that very early-1970s theatrical rock style. It is not the famous original cast recording, which makes it a nice alternative for collectors. A very enjoyable period version with plenty of character.
