Bo Hansson’s Magician’s Hat from 1972 is a lovely mix of progressive rock, jazz, folk and instrumental psychedelia, built around organ, guitar and plenty of atmosphere. The music is mostly wordless, so the appeal is really in the mood and the way the tracks slowly unfold. It has that slightly mysterious Scandinavian feel without becoming too heavy or difficult. A very good listen if you enjoy early progressive rock, soundtrack-like albums and records that create their own little world.
