Julian Bahula, Abbey Cindi and Lucky Ranku blend jazz with traditional African rhythms in a way that still sounds fresh and completely their own. “Emakhaya”, “Jikeleza” and “Abbey’s Mood” are standouts. Spacious, rhythmic and full of character, this is a lovely rediscovery and a very worthwhile record to own.

Grading:

Vinyl: Sealed

Sleeve: Sealed

Pressing: UK

Label: Strut

CAT #: STRUT314LP

Year: 2023

Genre: African Jazz

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0426/1697/9605/files/image_ff928858-e48d-44ee-953d-e551f222b19e.jpg?v=1792504282
